Melrose cottage is a quiet family home in a quiet part of the beautiful Thameside village of Goring on Thames near Reading

We are 10 minutes walk from Goring and Streatley train station with regular services to Reading, Oxford and London Paddington. Reading and Oxford offering everything you can imagine

Heathrow airport is about one hours drive and transport can be arranged if required

There are a number of excellent pubs in the village for mid-day and evening meals.

Leisure facilities are within walking distance as well as local activities always being organised within the village.

Goring on Thames is very popular for walkers due to the exquisite scenery alongside the river Thames.
Goring on Thames has the ridge way and Thames path which makes goring the ideal place to stop over after a long days walking. We have a garage for storing bikes if biking through goring.

There is plenty of car parking space (3 on the property 2 on the quiet road outside the bed and breakfast)

All rooms have TV, DVD and a choice of dvds to watch. Coffee and tea facilities are in all rooms., we have wi Fi connection to the internet. You choose what you would like for breakfast on arrival and at what time. Main meal can be requested and even a packed lunch if needed for a small fee

Both twin rooms have washing facilities. All 3 rooms share 2 bathrooms, both having showers and 1 having a bath.

We do get busy through so try and book early!!!
